Professor Muhammad Shafique is a distinguished historian and Professor of History & Civilization Studies at Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU), Multan. With over 24 years of teaching and research experience, he specializes in British historiography of South Asia, regional history, and the philosophy of history.
He earned his Ph.D. in History from BZU (2006) and completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at University College London (2011), focusing on British historical narratives of Muslim India. A prolific author, his works include British Historiography of South Asia and Ibn Khaldun: Fard, Mu’ashrah Aur Tamadani Irtiqa.
Beyond academia, he has held key leadership roles, including Chairman of Gender Studies & Philosophy at BZU and Member of the Governing Body of Iqbal Academy Lahore. As a mentor, he has supervised numerous Ph.D. and M.Phil. scholars, shaping the future of historical research in Pakistan.
