Dr. Muhammad Arif is a distinguished archaeologist and heritage expert with over 42 years of experience in field archaeology and museum management. As the former Director General of the Department of Archaeology & Museums, Pakistan, he has played a pivotal role in the discovery and documentation of 30 rock art sites across the country.
He holds a Ph.D. in Archaeology with a specialization in Buddhist Petroglyphs and a Master’s degree in Geography from the University of Karachi. His expertise spans prehistory, geomorphology, climatology, stratigraphy, and cartography, making significant contributions to Pakistan’s archaeological heritage.
